My poem, “Phase,” was accepted to “Chronogram” magazine, based out of Hudson Valley, New York.
I wrote this poem while working with the Forest Service. My job was to wait for vacationers and bother them for interviews. One morning, around 8am on a Monday, I stared at a lake named “Boot Lake” and wrote this poem on the back of an interview-Scantron sheet. I’m not sure what it’s about. I had an existential thing going on at that time, so, probably that.
